Simon's Town Harbour, Wharf Street Pier |

To reach Simon's Town, it takes about 45 minutes from Cape Town or the V&A Waterfront, 30 minutes from Kirstenbosch, 20 minutes from Noordhoek and 15 minutes from Muizenberg. (Click on the links for directions with Google Maps). In Simon's Town, follow the long red brick wall (with the sea on your left). At the end of the brick wall, turn left down Wharf Street (this is just before Jubilee Square). We meet at the end of the pier. Note the pier is just seaward of Jubilee Square; you can see it from the Just Nuisance dog statue. Parking at Wharf street is free for the first 20 minutes only, after which a fee is charged. Parking on Main Road and Cole Point is free. From Cole Point, walk north to the alley marked Simon’s Town Waterfront and past Bertha’s to reach the pier. Hout Bay Harbour |

To reach Hout Bay, it takes about 30 minutes from Cape Town or the V&A Waterfront, 20 minutes from Kirstenbosch, 15 minutes from Noordhoek. (Click on the links for directions with Google Maps). If coming from Cape Town via the coastal M6 (Victoria Road): at the bottom of Hout Bay just before you reach the beach, turn right at the roundabout onto Northshore Drive, which becomes Harbour Road. Drive 700m until the entrance to the Harbour where you can park. If coming via Kirstenbosch: drive along
the Main Road towards the beach. At a three-way roundabout,
turn right into Princess Street. Continue for 900m until the
next roundabout. Keep left onto Northshore Drive, which becomes
Harbour Road. Drive 700m until the entrance to the Harbour
where you can park. Confirm with us beforehand at which point the boat will be launching, the name of the boat and the name of your guide. Also confirm the briefing time and departure time. |
